Neutral Grounding Resistors are used to protect power transformers, power generators, and other associated equipment in your power systems against 50/60 Hz faults (short circuit) and transient phenomena (lightning).

When a drive unit is attempting to rapidly brake a motor “Deceleration Braking Cycle” or when an “overhauling load” condition exists, the spinning motor acts as a generator.

Fuse blocks are manufactured using GPO-3 bases and a corrosion resistant finish on current carrying parts. Terminals on the 30 ampere unit have wire binding washers. 60 ampere through 600 ampere have terminal screw and nut without lugs.

Fuse holders for front connection have mounted screws for 1/2” panel thickness on 200 ampere and smaller, and for 1” thick panels on 400 and 600 ampere.

Third rail isolating switches are used on the main line to allow transit cars to be isolated and bypassed under emergency applications. Switchyard isolating switches disconnect the power for car maintenance. Filnor standard switches range from 600 amps through 12000 amps and voltages up to 2000 volts DC. The switch is generally housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure with a viewing window. Filnor switches are weather proof and maintenance free.
