In the booming solar industry, the role of materials testing, certification and quality control is becoming increasingly important. As a complement to our research and development work, we offer related testing and certification services to clients.At present, Fraunhofer ISE has four accredited testing units: TestLab Solar Thermal Systems, TestLab Solar Façades, TestLab PV Modules and the Calibration Laboratory with the Units CalLab PV Cells and CalLab PV Modules.TestLab PV Modules Services
Photovoltaics has been booming in Germany since the introduction of the Renewable Energy Law (EEG). Standardized quality control of PV modules has become increasingly important in this rapidly growing market. In this situation, the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and the VDE Institute have combined their expertise and established a joint service platform for manufacturers, installation companies and trade partners. Fraunhofer ISE has many years of experience in calibration ( CalLab PV Modules ) and service lifetime analysis, while the VDE is a certification body that is accredited by IECEE, ZLS and DATech.CalLab Measurement Services
The precise measurement of solar cells and modules is of crucial importance in solar technology or photovoltaics. As one of the world’s leading laboratories, the photovoltaic calibration laboratory at the Fraunhofer ISE (CalLab) provides measurement services in this field. We measure all types of solar cells and PV modules with precision and reliability, in accordance with international standards. We also develop special precision measurement instruments for this purpose.
TestLab Solar Thermal Systems
At our TestLab Solar Thermal Systems, we test solar collectors, components and complete systems. In addition, we provide support to our clients in developing their products.Our test center is authorized by DIN CERTCO and fully accredited by the German Association for Accreditation (DAkkS).
