Fraunhofer Institute für Solar Energy Systems (ISE)
TestLab PV Modules Services
Photovoltaics has been booming in Germany since the introduction of the Renewable Energy Law (EEG). Standardized quality control of PV modules has become increasingly important in this rapidly growing market. In this situation, the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and the VDE Institute have combined their expertise and established a joint service platform for manufacturers, installation companies and trade partners. Fraunhofer ISE has many years of experience in calibration ( CalLab PV Modules ) and service lifetime analysis, while the VDE is a certification body that is accredited by IECEE, ZLS and DATech. Most popular related searches

With the newly founded TestLab PV Modules in Freiburg, a facility has been established which will be decisive for the future of the photovoltaic sector. Both participating institutes act as equal partners. Fraunhofer ISE is in charge of the tests according to the IEC EN 61215 for modules with crystalline silicon solar cells and to the IEC EN 61646 for thin film solar cells respectively. The VDE Institute performs safety tests according to IEC EN 61730-1/2 and certifies the modules according to the widely used standards and testing principles.
