Herco Kühltechnik Hermanns & Co. GmbH

Dr. Peter Hermanns established Herco Kühltechnik GmbH back in 1978. This was a direct result of his experience in the German mining industry: right from the start, the company was built up on a sound scientific basis – with an eye to developing practical solutions. As an innovative company, Herco Kühltechnik played a leading role in the development of air- and water-cooling equipment for use in the German opencast and underground mining industry. Due to the similar requirements, Herco’s robust and reliable cooling technology was soon also being used in the tunnelling industry. Furthermore, as early as the 80s, the management began to open up new global markets outside the mining industry, thus creating a solid basis for the future growth of the company.
