These used Samsung 18650 lithium ion batteries were pulled from laptops and other low-drain devices. They are rated at 2200mAh. All of these cells have a capacity above 75% of rated capacity*.

Darfon Solar 2.4kWh 48 volt LiFePO4 server rack batteries. These came in for electronics/BMS issues and likely no longer communicate. They`ve been fully tested and are all dead on at 50 Ah per cell-string! They have IFR26650 cells in them.

A battery management system (BMS) is essential in a lithium ion battery build. Li-ion batteries are much more sensitive to voltage than lead acid, and can be dangerous if over- or under-charged. It protects against over- and under-voltage as well as over-current, and ensures that the cells are balanced. This BMS is for a 14S (51.8v nominal) lithium ion battery, and allows 60 amps continuous discharge and 30 amps charge. That`s 3100 watts of continuous power. Wow!
