Iris - Power Epoxy Mica Capacitors (EMC)
Iris Power Epoxy Mica Capacitors (EMC) are designed to detect Partial Discharge activity in motors, generators, switchgear and isolated phase bus while not imposing on the machine’s operation or reliability in any way. Iris Power’s 80 pF EMCs are designed to block the 50/60 Hz power frequency and allow only high frequency (>40MHz) signals to pass through, be collected and analyzed by an appropriate Iris Power portable instrument or continuous monitor.

Iris - Loss Factor / Capacitance Test System
The PDTech DELTAMAXX system measures current through a reference capacitor and test object. The current is measured by the voltage drop across shunt resistors. A 16-bit A/D converter processes these voltages. The phase angle difference between the high voltage and this current is determined by a novel algorithm, which allows the calculation of the loss angle and automatic elimination of several potential error sources.

The Total Flux Probe (TFProbe) is used for detection of shorted rotor windings in generators and synchronous motors where the air gap is less than 50mm by measuring air gap flux.

MCPDTracII - Switchgear Continuous Monitoring System
The MCPDTracII system is an effective and economical means of providing automated, continuous partial discharge (PD) measurements for switchgear and isolated phase bus (IPB) applications. The MCPDTracII system consists of multiple sets of permanently installed capacitive couplers connected at intervals to the main bus-bars, an MCPDTracII monitor, plus digital communication.

Portable Partial Discharge Monitoring Instrument
The TGA-B is a portable instrument specifically designed to monitor PD in motors and turbine generators equipped with Bus couplers. The TGA-B instrument determines the magnitudes, rates and polarities of voltage pulses created by partial discharges. Additional parameters such as NQNs and peak pulse magnitudes are also calculated. The instrument comes equipped with user selectable RS232, USB, or Ethernet (TCP/IP) communication modes. An external computer is used to acquire, display, and store PD test results quickly and conveniently.
