About us
Since the founding of the company more than 80 years ago, Klöpper has been located in Dortmund. Then, as now, we bore the name of our founder. This connectedness can also be seen in the continuous cooperation with our customers, suppliers, and partners. Our connection with our roots, however, has never prevented us from reacting flexibly. Just like the development of the Ruhr district from a simple coalfield to a technological centre, we have further developed our products according to market requirements and customer desires.
2012
Founding of OOO Klöpper-Therm as an independent sales office in Moscow, Russia.
2007/2008
Expansion of the manufacturing and office areas by 900 square metres in an adjacent new building, move in May 2008.
2004/2005
Klöpper-Therm buys the cable heater technology of Haldor Topsoe A/S, from the engineering and manufacturing to the worldwide sales, including commissioning.
2000
Change of generations in the company management.

Founding of Klöpper-Elektrotechnik Landsberg GmbH & Co.
1994
Expansion of the Klöpper-Therm production facility.
1991
Founding of the Klöpper-Therm sales office in Wolfen. The Mechanical Engineering department becomes Klöpper-Maschinentechnik GmbH & Co. and the Electrical Engineering department becomes Klöpper-Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co.

Acquisition of an additional assembly shop for Klöpper-Elektrotechnik and H&S.
1986/1987
The Heat Engineering department spins off and becomes Klöpper-Therm GmbH & Co. Move to a new administration building with assembly shop.

Death of main shareholder Karl-Hugo Klöpper-Waldmann. The shares are transferred to the Beimdick and Hinz families.

Death of company founder Eugen Klöpper. Founding of a limited partnership and management of the company by Karl-Hugo Klöpper-Waldmann.

Start of the manufacturing of pipe trace heating systems and, a short time later, heat exchangers and instruments. Increase of activities in the area of heat engineering. Expansion of switchgear construction and mounting.
1956
Expansion of production in the area of infrared open-circuit plants and recirculated air furnace systems for various industrial branches, including for the sheet glass industry. Transition to the manufacturing of automatic mirror coating systems.
1953
End of the representation of VOIGT & HAEFFNER AG following the founding of CONTI-ELEKTRO AG with own branches as the sales organisation. Start of own switchgear construction, as well as the manufacturing of infrared heating systems and other heat-engineering systems. Begin of mechanical engineering activities.
1945
Resumption of sales activity for VOIGT & HAEFFNER AG. The contractual relationship with KOCH & STERZEL AG cannot be continued due to political conditions.
1938
The engineering consultancy of Eugen Klöpper takes over the representation of VOIGT & HAEFFNER AG, Frankfurt/Main, and the transformer factory KOCH & STERZEL AG, Dresden, from his father-in-law.
1928
In Dortmund, Eugen Klöpper founds an engineering consultancy for electrical materials.
