KoalaLifter is an innovative and efficient wind craneless system that revolutionizes the industry by leveraging a self-climbing mechanism that uses the wind turbine tower for support. The core technology involves the use of expandable collars that securely embrace the tower, making it universally adaptable to any wind turbine model irrespective of height. By eliminating the need for high-tonnage cranes, KoalaLifter significantly reduces operational downtime and workforce risks, as it can be remotely controlled. It can operate in high wind conditions up to 25 m/s and is environmentally friendly, reducing the need for massive truck transportation. Key products include the KL-N30 which can exchange nacelle components up to 30 tons, the KL-N80 capable of handling up to 80 tons, the KL-Gorilla erecting system featuring a self-rotating crane, and the KL-Offshore system designed for offshore wind turbines. KoalaLifter's equipment is easy to transport and suitable for global deployment, backed by funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program.
