Liso & Sons is a family run business which was formed as a result of expansion of Liso Coir Tex pvtLtd, venturing its operations into new products and market. We are also the 3 rd generation exporters in the coir industry. Our stepping stone in this industry was laid down by Mr. V F joseph in 1960 by forming V F Joseph Coir Factory at the Heart of Alleppey in Kerala. This Firm was started as a manufacturer of coir mat and matting, supplying its finished goods to local exporters and to the domestic market in India, later expanding its operation to the International market. In agriculture and horticulture, coir is a substitute for sphagnum (peat moss) and peat because it is widely available and environmentally friendly. Coir is also useful to deter snails from delicate plantings, and as a growing medium in intensive glasshouse (greenhouse) horticulture etc.
