Natural Systems Utilities (NSU) services
Public-Private Partnership Services
Several perceived barriers associated with the implementation of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) can be overcome utilizing a Public-Private Partnership Model (PPP). NSU mitigates the risks associated with implementing a CHP project by delivering the project using a Design-Build-Own-Operate (DBOO) approach and partnering as needed with key experts in the industry. By using a PPP approach, NSU is able to manage the design, construction and financing of the installation of engine/generators and share in the savings produced by the heat and power generated.
Organic Waste Reclamation
Municipal Retrofit
Wastewater treatment plants in the US consume an estimated 21 billion kilowatt hours per year and produce approximately eight million dry tons of sludge each year, which could generate $2 billion worth of electricity, plus heat recovery potential. NSU uses our technical expertise in water and wastewater treatment to partner with wastewater treatment plant owners to capture valuable energy, nutrients and other resources from sludge.
