Northern Transformer

Northern Transformer, established in 1981 in Concord, Ontario, specializes in manufacturing liquid-filled power transformers. Over the years, the company has built a strong reputation for its commitment to quality and customer service. In 2012, it was acquired by Canadian entrepreneur Giovanni Marcelli, who envisioned expanding its capabilities. By 2016, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility was opened, elevating its capacity to produce more substantial and intricate transformers. A further expansion in 2023 enhanced the facility with vertical winding, vapor phase drying, and advanced transformer testing for up to 240 kV class power transformers. Currently, their Maple, Ontario facility encompasses 120,000 sq. ft. dedicated to production, testing, and support. Northern Transformer aims to lead as a premier provider of power transformers in North America, supporting a sustainable, electrified future through its innovation and quality-focused approach.
