Heating Services

Heat Recovery Service

Building systems are tasked with generating heat for a variety of uses: space and ventilation heating, domestic water heating, process heating etc; too often heat is allowed to escape a building becoming waste heat.  It is wasted heat if it is exhausted or leaks from a buildings ventilation system, or, is produced internally by a production process than exhausted outside (air) or put down the drain (water). It is considered waste heat because it is exhausted at a temperature warmer than the outside air, instead of being put to use heating the building; or because it is drained at a temperature warmer than the incoming building water supply where it could have been used for water or process heating. Opportunities often exist to recover this wasted heat, allowing a building owner to use less energy heating their building (recovered heat offsets the production of required heat).

Hydronic Heating Service

Hydronic heating is the process of using gas, other fuels, or electricity to transfer heat through a pressure vessel, commonly known as a boiler.  The heat is then distributed throughout a building (or multiple buildings) to serve the comfort requirements of individual zones.

Infloor Radiant Heating Service

Infloor Radiant Heating is a building integrated system of diffusing heat through a buildings’ floors to provide for the comfort of the occupants and objects inside.

Solar Thermal Air Heating Services

Buildings in Canada face long and cold winters that require lots of heating.  Solar thermal systems are amongst the most adopted renewable energy technologies because they help reduce the cost of heating during winter.  Solar thermal air heating systems are simple, effective, and essentially maintenance-free, as the only moving parts are the dampers that bypass the system in summer.  These systems significantly offset fossil fuel use by other heating systems.
