Ocean Imaging Systems, A Division of EP Oceanographic, LLC

The Ocean Imaging Systems product line began in 2002, when Bill McElroy, founder and president of Marine Systems Technology, Inc., purchased the complete imaging product line from Benthos, Inc. Together with Dave Jones, an ocean engineer who worked with Bill at Benthos and specializes in underwater mechanical and optical designs, Bill re-designed and updated the original Benthos equipment and added new products to augment the line. Relying on the newest digital technology, the current OIS product line offers state-of-the-art imaging systems. After 13 years managing OIS, Bill decided to sell the product line to Eli Perrone, founder of EP Oceanographic, LLC. Formerly an Oceanographic Technician with CR Environmental, and Field Technician with Hydroid, Inc., Eli brings over ten years of oceanographic and manufacturing experience to the OIS product line.
