Open Ocean Watermakers

Open Ocean Watermakers has been manufacturing watermakers in the beautiful Bay of Islands of New Zealand since 2001. ​There are simple watermakers and there are complex watermakers. Complex watermakers have a bunch of sensors and switches which allow for easy operation. The trade-off is reliability. When the salt water exposed sensors fail, the system becomes unworkable. Simple systems have the advantage of no sensors to fail, but they can be complicated to operate, with various valves to operate in what are often inconvenient locations. Our systems are largely made up of off-the-shelf components that are available almost anywhere in the world.
