ALLCHARGE is our electric arc furnace designed for the continuous charging of scrap without preheating. This technology addresses current and future environmental limits without compromising productivity and safety. By avoiding scrap preheating, it helps to limit dioxins, VOC, and CO emissions, while the flat bath operation ensures lower NOx emissions and a reduced impact on the power grid. By decoupling the scrap conveyor from off-gas suction, the ALLCHARGE design enables the charging of 100% DRI from the roof.

The SHARC is the most efficient scrap preheating design for electric arc furnaces. Equipped with two vertical preheating shafts (conventional systems use only one asymmetric shaft), the entire furnace cross-section over the height of the two shafts is available for energy transfer. This is made possible by the symmetrical shape of the furnace and the integration of DC high-current technology. The longer retention time of the hot exhaust gases in contact with the scrap results in energy savings of up to 100 kWh/t less than conventional furnaces.

For decades Paul Wurth has been designing and supplying specialised valves and bleeders for different applications in the blast furnace process. Paul Wurth designs its valves to meet and exceed the most severe operating conditions to be expected in blast furnace operation. They are designed for long life, high reliability and ease of maintenance.

Paul Wurth adopts the most advanced plant arrangements and operational techniques for the design and construction of coke oven batteries. Relying on more than forty years of experience in cokemaking technology, Paul Wurth holds proprietary know-how and can bank on highly technological references in the cokemaking sector worldwide.

By having integrated the coke oven machinery segment of the Germany company Schalker Eisenhütte Maschinenfabrik, Paul Wurth has substantially strengthened its portfolio in cokemaking technology, including coal charging cars, pusher machines, coke transfer cars, wet quenching cars, crane systems for dry quenching as well as maintenance and service cars.

For combined heat and power production, Paul Wurth offers state-of-the-art technology allowing the treatment of materials, such as wood chips, sawdust, rice straw and husks, agricultural wastes and virgin biomass. Our solution includes movable grate combustion, steam boilers, steam turbines coupled to electric generator and flue gas treatment.

For the incineration and treatment of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), RDF, sewage sludge, hospital waste or animal residues, Paul Wurth offers tailor-made plants, whose capacity ranges (per line).
