Planetary Systems has limited our HAWT product line to two manufacturers for low and high power wind generators with two distinct operating scenarios. There are many Horizontal wind turbines available but we based our criteria on function, wind survivability and replacement parts availability and how easy they are to repair, rather than power output alone. The following are the best units available based on these criteria. They require monopole towers less than 15′ average and can be easily installed and removed.

VAWT units are great for urban areas and connect directly to our Power Package. We offer several types of machines, with several different designs. We offer the C-type and Darieus-Savonius VAWT units which are a low cost way to utilize wind energy when using our Power Package system without large towers or expensive, over-rated wind generators. The WKV-600 and WKV-1000 wind generators can be used anywhere in any climate and are the ultimate in high end technology for wind power.

Darrieus-Savonius type wind unit featuring Mag-lev technology for small spaces where infrastructure may be limited and low noise levels are very good. These units have been tested at our facility and are very reliable, with a 20 year life span with virtually no maintenance. Includes our TGW MPPT wind controller. This is an axial flux generator which can produce large amounts of power at low wind speed when adjusted properly.
