The general public associates Mylar with shiny foil party balloons, however, Mylar in its original state contains no metal at all. Mylar is DuPont’s brand name for a polyester film that is semi-transparent, light-weight, and flexible. Mylar is technically known as biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate, or BoPET.

- Protect VF100 provides both electromagnetic and electrostatic shielding for superior protection of critical electronic components.
- Protect VF1500 is designed for vacuum packaging moisture sensitive materials. This 7 mil thick composite material provides an extremely low MVTR with high puncture resistance.
-Protect VF 125 is an opaque, electrostatic and EMI/RFI protective, and high barrier aluminum foil structure which offers excellent puncture resistence. The Interior sealing film is specially formulated to maximize seal strength and eliminate leaks in difficult vacuum applications, such as SMD tape and reel, quad flat packs and JEDC trays.
