Kohlbach biomass boilers are the ideal solution for industrial heat requirements, providing warm water, hot water, steam, and thermal oil for CHP. These flexible systems have exemplary can operate continually and are able to provide up to 16MW in power per unit.

The Heat Pod is a fully integrated module consisting of a biomass boiler plant room, pipework and the fuel store in one self contained structure. The Heat Pod can house a Herz Firematic 60-199kWor a BioMatic 220-500kW. Find out about the Heat Hub.

Our Heat Hub can house Herz boilers from 450kW up to 995kWin size. These are available in two footprint sizes: 34m2or 48m2plus an octagonal wood chip store or cylindrical silo for the storage of wood pellets. It is delivered as one to site and craned into position as required.

The Firestar is a log and wood briquette burning biomass boiler that is a little more hands-on in its application, providing a renewable heat solution at a much lower cost, with outputs of 15kW to 40kW. This solid, virgin wood burning boiler uses a double vortex combustion chamber which is unique to the Herz Firestar design. This ensures that the oxygen and combustion gasses present during operation are mixed and combined in the optimum way to produce highly efficient combustion. This, and the use of a Lambda probe, results in much lower emission values as well as lower fuel consumption.

The Pelletstar provides a low-space solution for producing heat from wood pellets with outputs from 10kW to 60kW. The Pelletstar has a modern design and features not only automatic heat exchanger cleaning and an efficient Lambda probe to save on the consumption of fuel by the boiler, but now also Herz’s newly designed and rigorously tested T-control panel.
