Kohlbach biomass boilers are the ideal solution for industrial heat requirements, providing warm water, hot water, steam, and thermal oil for CHP. These flexible systems have exemplary can operate continually and are able to provide up to 16MW in power per unit.
The range:
- K8: 525kW-7.6MW wood chip and bark
- K11: 400kW-6MW wood chip, bark and waste wood
- K13: 800kW-6MW wood pellets, wood chips and grain
- K12: 3.2MW-16MW wood chip, bark and waste wood
- Combined Heat and Power (CHP): There is a fifth heat exchanger for thermal oil that can be input into the K12 system. Biomass fired thermal oil is a well established technology worldwide, suitable for industrial applications and community housing projects with a typical operation of over 8300 hours electrical generation.

The Kohlbach systems are known for their excellent customisation characteristics. Kohlbach have developed systems that can be tailored to the preferred fuel type and the required heat type. For example a client may wish to use wood pellets but also want a steam heating solution. We can provide a system that has a furnace specifically designed for burning wood pellets, with an interchangeable heat exchanger specified to provide steam from this. Most biomass systems offer just one part of the solution, we are able to offer tailor-made resolutions for both.
The Kohlbach systems offer four different heat exchangers for generating low temperature hot water up to 110oC (LTHW), medium temperature hot water up to 140oC (MTHW), 8 Bar saturated steam and 40 Bar superheated steam.
