SAMPI S.P.A.

SAMPI SpA was founded in Lucca in 1937 as a company for trade with mineral lube oils and additives, growing quickly and implementing a capillary distribution network all over Italy. As an active player in Italy’s reconstruction after World War II, SAMPI widened its activities by getting into the business of major oil companies’ road gasoline stations. In the 60-ies, following the introduction of new regulations for the distribution and sale of oil products, the company extended further its business activity to the distribution of pumps and Liquid Controls PD meters. Due to the increasing demand and based on the experience gained in this specific field, at the end of the 60-ies SAMPI stepped further to the manufacture of PD meters in Italy, under licence by Liquid Controls.
