About us
The usage and footfall data reported from the dryers feed the SAVORTEX Intelligent Data portal (SID™), allowing our clients to centrally and remotely manage cleaning of their washroom facilities from the cloud. The analytics provides predictions to improve resource efficiency and cross-functional, continuous conversations between stakeholders.
The result is profit-boosting insights through faster problem resolution with significant reductions in cost, waste and energy. We serve sustainability focused organisations like the Royal Bank of Scotland, Carillion Plc., British Airways and Marriott Hotels to name a few who are experiencing huge savings in cost, energy and waste by using our smart technology. We measure our success based on the quality, value and service we provide.
Many of these organisations are designing or managing BREEAM or LEED certified buildings. RBS (Royal bank of Scotland) recently announced savings of £35,000 and 14 tonnes of waste per building per year by using our EcoCurve™, smart hand dryer. Our groundbreaking and smart innovation recently featured in the Telegraph, The Independent and several Facilities Management Journals.
The company, which continues to grow, brings innovative technology to market and has been selected as one of the UK’s top 16 high growth CleanTech companies backed by the UKTi.
The unique nature of SAVORTEX’s design, programming and engineering capabilities and patented technology, not only makes our products virtually impossible to replicate, but also creates opportunities for the intellectual property to be widely leveraged through a range of innovative products.
SAVORTEX is set apart within the marketplace. The company has secured worldwide Intellectual Property Rights for its EcoCurve™ hand drying and wireless data communications technology. Our products are transforming the hand drying marketplace firmly placing us as leaders of a smart energy saving revolution.
The Challenge
The urgency resulting from global warming and the rising tide of waste, is driving innovators to produce incredible technologies and entrepreneurs to find hidden costs that can be removed by those technologies.
We identified that cost, waste and energy consumption in washrooms are difficult to manage and the hand drying market as an opportunity for innovation. Our engineers were given the challenge to find a green alternative to expensive paper towels with their associated environmentally unfriendly processes of manufacture and disposal, and to overcome the energy hungry (1600W to 2400W) and inefficient, short life expectancy of conventional brushed-motor based hand dryers.
The recent energy price rises and media focus on the impacts of climate change mean that organisations are implementing environmental strategies to reduce both energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) based on actionable data.
Background
UK businesses could save £23 billion per year by improving the way they use resources and interact with their business premises, furthermore the built environment accounts for around 33% of waste and 47 per cent of UK greenhouse gas emissions, and what’s alarming is that 30% – 50% of the energy in buildings is wasted!
In order to reduce overall emissions and waste in line with government policy, by 80 percent by 2050, both existing and new buildings must provide measurable data to provide greater transparency, being built and renovated to ‘climate-friendly’ standards. Thus, smart energy management is the most dynamic segment of the building technologies and services industry.
The Solution
We have found that the hidden risks in buildings i.e. carbon and waste can identified and turned into profitability through smart, actionable data. We also found that energy consumption and product longevity are also critical factors contributing to the overall sustainability of a hand dryer.
Thus, we have designed, manufactured and launched a game-changing energy saving and smart hand dryer range. Introducing EcoCurve™ 550A and 550D, this new range uses the latest compact digital brushless motor technology and a patented energy recovery and curved air delivery technique to maximise energy efficiency.
The EcoCurve™ 550D is a smart dryer recording real-time energy and washroom footfall which is wirelessly reported to our SAVORTEX® Intelligent Data portal (SID™). This data intelligence allows for accurate ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 reporting and contribute to the management of energy targets within the building.
These unique options directly reduce costs and add to bottom-line profitability by saving waste and energy and managing costly resources efficiently.
