About US
Ludwig Schrader founded Schrader Verfahrenstechnik in 1969 with its registered office in Beckum-Neubeckum. Systems for the explosives industry and silo and metering systems for the food and chemical industry were developed and constructed here. Partner companies built these systems that were then assembled by our own engineers.
In 1972 the registered office was relocated from Beckum-Neubeckum to Ennigerloh-Enniger.
In 1980 process engineering employed 23 staff members.
In 1980 RBE-Rohrleitungsbau GmbH was established with partners with its registered office in Beckum. This pipeline construction company assembled pipeline construction systems together with engineers taken from process engineering and systems for the chemical industry together with additional personnel.
In 1982 an apparatus engineering company that had been in existence since 1962 was taken over and located with its registered office in Beckum under the name of RBE-Apparatebau GmbH. At that time, this apparatus engineering company had already specialised in the production of stainless steel apparatus and built apparatus and equipment for Schrader Verfahrenstechnik as well as for the chemical and food industry.
As from 1987 Ludwig Schrader was the sole shareholder and managing director of the 3 companies with 120 employees and production possibilities at premises of approx. 4,000 square metres in Beckum, as well as further offices in Ennigerloh-Enniger.
Purchase of today’s company premises in 1990 with an area of 45,000 square metres, 12,000 square metres hall space, crane capacities of up to 50.0 tonnes at a hook height of up to 23 metres and own sidings. At this opportunity, the name was standardised so that the 3 companies now operate under the following names: Schrader Verfahrenstechnik GmbH, Schrader Apparatebau GmbH, Schrader Rohrleitungsbau GmbH. Shareholder: Ludwig Schrader.
All the Beckum and Ennigerloh-Enniger activities were consolidated for the first time here at Schleebergstrasse in Ennigerloh and all 3 divisions were able to develop, finally having excellent space conditions.
Schrader Anlagenbau GmbH was established in Eilenburg/Saxony in 1992. This company produced steel constructions for the Ennigerloh factory, being able to handle some orders of their own in the Leipzig surroundings and above all functions as service provider for Schrader Rohrleitungsbau GmbH.
In 1996 Schrader T+A-Fahrzeugbau was founded following the purchase of the T+A-Werk in Beckum-Vellern.
In 1997 the vehicle construction division was expanded by means of the purchase of the Ellinghaus factory in Beckum. Semi-tank trailers, stainless steel and GKF containers as well as aluminium mineral oil vehicles are produced on 46,000 square metres of space at both locations of Beckum-Vellern and Beckum with approx. 14,000 square metres hall space and around 140 employees. They operate under the name of Schrader T+A-Fahrzeugbau GmbH & Co. KG
Shareholder and managing director: Petra Schrader. The generational change was completed at the same time here in Beckum-Vellern when the daughter of the company founder was appointed.
The generational change was also completed at the companies in Ennigerloh in 1998. Following an initial 3 additional companies, there are 2 additional shareholders in the companies today. Mr Lüdeke and Mr Darmstädter are employees of long-standing in Ennigerloh and have received substantial shares in the companies, namely 75 %, and were appointed as managing directors by Ludwig Schrader focussing on continuous enhancement of the companies. With this, 3 companies operatate from Schleebergstrasse in Ennigerloh: Schrader Verfahrenstechnik GmbH Schrader Apparatebau GmbH Schrader Rohrleitungsbau GmbH Shareholder: Ludwig Schrader, Michael Lüdeke, Dirk Darmstädter.
Managing directors: Michael Lüdeke, Dirk Darmstädter. Although no longer involved in day-to-day business, Ludwig Schrader continues to act for the companies in terms of continuity.
In 2001 the plant engineering division amalgamated with Schrader Rohrleitungsbau GmbH, the Eilenburg production facility was closed and the staff predominantly integrated into the pipework construction division.
2002 Today we are able to determine that the generational change has been successful. With around 300 employees we are in a position today to not only satisfy our customers in the familiar traditional way, but are also enriched by the latest techniques and findings.
