Wind Speed and Direction
Wind Speed Activated Control and Alarm System
The WSC-5 Wind Speed Activated Control System is designed for switching on and/or off, various types of equipment according to wind speed parameters. Designed to withstand harsh environments the WSC-5 is a truly commercial/research grade instrument that is ideally suited for safety applications such as cranes and other types of high reach and load bearing equipment where strong winds can be a factor. The WSC-5 also offers complete, user-defined capability in controlling alarms, fountains, beacons, deodorizers, air samplers, etc., when wind speed exceeds or falls below a certain selectable value. The control output function (either switch-on or switch-off or both) can be set for activation at any desired speed value from 0-100 MPH (alternate ranges available). Dual set points are available depending on the requirements of the user.
Current Loop Wind Sensors, 4-20mA Outputs
Climatronics` P/N 101908 Current Loop Wind Sensors is a 2-wire, 4-20 mA output version of our popular Wind Mark-III wind sensor. Current loop outputs are ideal wherever there is an application involving more than a few hundred feet of separation between the sensor and the signal conditioners, data acquisition, or display systems. They are essentially immune to electrical noise and require less wiring than conventional sensors, thereby reducing both the total cost and time of installation of a turnkey system.
Marine Wind Tracker
Developed from the standard Wind Tracker, the Marine Wind Tracker has special features for shipboard use. Wind speed is displayed in your choice of units: KNOTS, MPH, KM/H, MIS. Maximum wind speed is saved on the display until reset by the operator. Wind direction information is clearly displayed on a circular pattern of LEDs. Bold front panel graphics give a quick indication of wind angle relative to vessel heading. Brightness control allows adjustment for best viewing in any light. Luminous front panel markings allow viewing even in a darkened pilothouse.
Maestro - Wireless Brass Wind Set
Current Loop Wind Sensor
The Model WS-23 Current Loop Wind Sensor monitors wind speed and direction. The electronics converts the raw signals from the wind sensors to proportional 4 to 20 mA current loop values for use by process control or monitoring systems. It acts like a variable resistance that draws 4-20 mA when powered with 8 to 30 Vdc. No external power is required because the encoding electronics for wind speed and for wind direction are isolated and powered from their respective 2-wire current loops.
Maestro - Brass Wind Speed and Wind Direction Set
Maestro displays wind speed, wind direction and highest gust up to 100 MPH (and 160 km/h). Wind speed is self-powered by rooftop sensor. Wind direction is displayed across 16 compass points using LED’s which run off the supplied AC power pack. Highest gust is saved on our unique Gust Register, which allows you to monitor highest gusts even when you missed the actual wind blast.
