History
The German energy supply is launched as a Leipzig sole proprietorship.
Change of the company form to the GmbH. In the same year the company develops the first lead-acid liquid accumulator of the type SENEC.Set. The goal: to increase the self-consumption of self-generated electricity.
Further development of the SENEC electricity storage system for photovoltaic systems, wind power and cogeneration plants and the idea of a large storage facility for commercial users.
Construction and development of the electricity storage SENEC.Business.
Installation of the first industrial storage. Large and home storage systems serve as the basis for the subsequent generation of SENEC lead storage systems.
Under the motto “We change the rules in the energy market”, SENEC launches the project “Economic Grid”. Over 2,000 households benefit from reduced electricity costs thanks to photovoltaic storage and increased self-consumption.
Relocation to the new headquarters in the heart of Leipzig. With Economic Grid, around 4,500 households receive over one million kilowatt hours of free electricity. SENEC recognises the changed customer requirements at an early stage and offers the first lithium storage units. Expansion of our own position as a full-service provider.
SENEC relies on intelligent residual current solutions for the complete self-supply of its customers. The tariffs SENEC.Classic and SENEC.Cloud are launched.
Extension of heat and business tariffs in the new SENEC.Cloud 2.0. SENEC now also operates internationally. Focus markets are Italy and Australia.
Launch of the Cloud To Go for electric vehicles. SENEC becomes part of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG.
 Year of Growth
Launch of the New SENEC.Home V3 Hybrid in Australia. Expansion to the East Coast.
