SMA Sunny - Grid-Connected Storage Systems
Grid-connected storage systems enable the integration of large amounts of intermittent renewable energy into the utility grid while ensuring maximum grid stability. The Sunny Central Storage is the central component of the SMA system solution for integration of large-scale storage systems. It is designed to compensate fluctuations in solar energy generation and offers comprehensive grid management services, e.g., automatic frequency control. The battery inverter is optimized for continuous operation at nominal load and temperature of −25°C to +50°C. Thanks to its wide DC voltage range, it is compatible with various types of battery technologies. The Sunny Central Storage is designed to work with the SMA Fuel Save Controller and is also available as turnkey solution with medium-voltage block.
SMA - Fuel Save Controller (FSC)
The SMA Fuel Save Controller (FSC) is a key component of the SMA solution for photovoltaic/ diesel hybrid systems. It allows the use of cost-efficient solar energy to generate power in order to lower fuel consumption from diesel generators. As the interface connecting the diesel generator, the PV system and the load, it manages need-based PV feed-in according to load and generation profiles of the system as a whole. The FSC performs comprehensive grid management functions, ensures maximum operational safety, and minimizes operating expenditure and CO2 emissions. The second generation of the FSC is available for system sizes of 100 kW to 50 MW. Hybrid systems with SMA technologies offer modular expansion at any time and optimum system control through remote monitoring. The SMA Fuel Save Controller is available in the following versions: M, L and customized ons of the modern SMA Speedwire data communication.

Sunny Highpower PEAK3
PEAK3 stands for pure power. With its compact design, the inverter offers the highest power density per device. The advantages: optimal performance at a light weight. The result is cheaper transportation and easier installation. In combination with the project-specific DC Combiner Boxes, the PV array can be oversized up to 150 %. The Data Manager completes the system and enables it to fulfill all of the grid operator’s requirements.
