Smith Engineering is a technology and prototype development company. With a track record in R&D, we design and manufacture prototypes and one-off machines for customers from sectors including civil nuclear, automotive, marine and renewable energy. Our experienced team of specialist engineers and a wide range of in-house capabilities enable us to solve complex, technological challenges. Our machines are in use all over the world, all designed and manufactured at our base in Maryport, Cumbria in North West England. Current projects include the design and manufacture of highly-efficient electricity generating waterwheels and the development of innovative, new tidal power technology.
