SolarisKit was founded by Dr Faisal Ghani, a mechanical engineer who has been working in the solar energy field for over 15 years. Faisal is a strong believer in the enormous potential solar energy can make on the world, especially to decarbonise heat. AROUND 50 OF GLOBAL ENERGY IS CONSUMED TO MEET HEATING DEMAND AND THIS IS STILL LARGELY MET USING FOSSIL FUELS. Harnessing solar energy to meet global heating demand will not only impact the environment, but improve quality of life for millions of people in the global south. Up to 40 of household income in Kigali Rwanda is spent on energy, most of which is used to heat water. Our vision is a world where solar energy is used to improve peoples lives and the environment.
