Spill Shield International

Spill Shield Incorporated is a woman-owned company founded to provide Alaska businesses a local source for innovative, cost-effective and environmentally sound products. Drue Pearce moved to Alaska from the Midwest in 1977. She grew up on a farm in Illinois, graduated from Indiana University and lived and worked in Louisville, KY before moving to Fairbanks. Once in Alaska, she worked at Alaska National Bank of the North in Fairbanks, Anchorage and Kotzebue. In 1983, she went to Juneau as a legislative aide. She left that fall for Harvard University, where she received a Master`s in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government in 1984.
