All of the skid tanks manufactured at STAFCO are manufactured according to UL142 specifications and come standard with heavy duty full length box skids and include enamel paint over primer on mill surface. Skid tanks are available in either single wall or double wall configurations. Below is a list of skid tanks that are normally stocked in our yard. Larger sizes are available upon request.

Ethanol is an alcohol-like substance that is produced from corn, sugar cane and other farm grown plants. Ethanol reduces our dependency on foreign petroleum imports and reduces air emissions by helping gasoline burn cleaner. The technology for storing and dispensing gasoline can be applied to alcohol fuels such as E85 because alcohols and alcohol blends, like gasoline, are liquid fuels at ambient pressures and temperatures. However, only E85-compatible materials should be used in the storage and dispensing systems. Most operating problems with ethanol-fueled vehicles have been traced to contaminated fuel. Consequently, choosing the right materials for fuel storage and dispensing systems and following proper fuel handling procedures are crucial for successfully operating ethanol-fueled vehicles.

As the drive for energy independence grows and biodiesel becomes more prevalent, the nation’s dependence on oil will be reduced. This massive movement toward biodiesel also has positive effects on the environment; namely, reduction in greenhouse gases and pollution. Biodiesel has many applications, from use in a standard diesel engine to a low carbon alternative to heating oil. STAFCO provides biodiesel tanks to store all the ingredients necessary in the production of biodiesel including stainless steel sulfuric acid tanks, sodium methoxide tanks, methanol tanks, as well as feedstock, product, and glycerin tanks fabricated from mild carbon steel. STAFCO designs and develops biodiesel tanks for an unlimited list applications or virtually any storage requirement. We will coordinate with your contractor to ensure that the necessary openings, dry-wells, and attachments are available for heaters and insulating jackets that are involved in the application.

STAFCO’s bulk gasoline storage tanks can be horizontal or vertical, cylindrical or rectangular, single-wall or double-wall, all with many options available. Our bulk gasoline storage tanks can be built to the following aboveground specifications: F921 double-wall, UL 2085 Fireguard®, fire resistant Flameshield®, single-wall UL 142, or small non-labeled farm tanks.
