TESLA (Europe) Ltd was incorporated in 1992 and the first TESLA Model was developed for The London Electricity Board. TESLA, Inc. was founded in 1995 to continue to build on this success in the United States. In 2010, TESLA Asia Pacific Ltd was founded as part of a plan to offer energy industry forecasting solutions worldwide. Our original product offering was used primarily for weather effect decomposition. The TESLA Model was also originally applied to historical energy demand analysis to derive sets of temperature response curves for host systems. From the beginning, it was apparent that the TESLA Model could provide superior short-range demand forecasts, particularly in advance of changes in weather patterns. Our first forecasting solution packages with complete interactive user interfaces went into use in the first year of the company’s existence.
