We’ve been forecasting demand for electric power since our inception.  That experience allows us to craft  accurate, reliable, and comprehensive forecasting solutions for clients in the electricity sector.  We can build solutions to forecast across all horizons, from one hour ahead to one day ahead to ten years ahead, and across all load sizes, from control zones to  grid exit points to individual meters. At the core of all of our solutions is a TESLA Model custom built specifically to forecast your load.

We’ve spent years building a reputation as an industry leader in solving forecasting problems in the energy industry.  We’ve done so in part by amassing the physical and human resources necessary to find, process, store, and analyze very large quantities of data. However, the industry will face problems in the future that are unlike those it faces today.

Wind farms are more than simply a collection of wind turbines, and the generation output of a wind farm is a function of more than simply wind speed.  We tailor the TESLA Model to emphasize wind speed, for obvious reasons, but not without explicitly accounting for the influence of other environmental and human factors.  Our dedication to understanding the idiosyncrasies of each farm and our ongoing attention to detail allow us to field accurate, reliable, and comprehensive wind power forecasting solutions.

Solar power generation presents both opportunities and challenges for the energy industry. For those resources in front of a meter, we can use historical data to model solar generation as a function of more than just solar radiation and provide reliable intra-day and day-ahead forecasts. As embedded solar resources proliferate, they present themselves collectively as a distortion of traditional electricity demand profiles. We have developed methods to both account for these distortions in our electric load forecasts as well as to quantify them. We help our clients address the challenges so they can seize the opportunities.
