Thompson Metal Fab is able to mechanically design and fabricate code pressure vehicles. We work with most modern alloys and clad metals, and thus supply a wide variety of pressure vessels and storage tanks for most applications. We have built vessels and tanks in all sizes and shapes and for such divergent industries as nuclear, oil and silicon. Besides fabricating, we also can assist customers in the engineering of tanks and vessels. Our strategic location on the Columbia River and adjacent to rail lines and interstate highways allows us to transport any-sized tank or vessel and to ensure timely deliveries. TMF holds `U` and `R` Stamp certificates. Those allow us to design, fabricate and repair pressure vessels in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1, and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.

Because Thompson Metal Fab is so diverse and serves so many different industries, the door has opened for us to venture into other markets, such as the nuclear and mining industries. As a result, we sometimes do projects that don’t always fit into a niche category. TMF has, for instance, fabricated rocket launch tables, cranes, tramways, and cradles to ship nuclear canisters in recent years.
