Our company has been producing boilers for burning biomass since 1993. At that time, few people knew that biomass, in our case wood and wood waste, can be burned in a way other than the classic incineration method. Gasification was only known to many from the time of the 2nd World War, where gas was produced in this way for combustion engines of cars, and the more skilled ones also from exhibitions in Austria or Germany. When we were the first in Slovakia to start producing gasification boilers, it was necessary to make a great effort to convince our future customers of the advantages of such combustion. During the presentation of our products, people most often asked us how much such a boiler costs, how many meters of wood it needs to heat a family home, what kind of wood the boiler burns, how efficient it is, etc. Almost no one cared about the emissions or the amount of harmful substances produced by such burning into the air.
