Wattius - Model wBMS-MX -Advanced Battery Management System
The Wattius wBMS-MX is a versatile battery management system designed for high-voltage applications. It includes a Battery Monitoring Unit (BMU) and Cell Monitoring Units (CMU12s), with each CMU capable of managing up to 12 cells. A single BMU can support up to 24 CMU12s, totaling management of up to 288 cells in series. This system is engineered for seamless scalability, allowing multiple BMUs to be connected in parallel, thus extending the system's capacity without additional components. The wBMS-MX provides precise voltage measurements with a maximum error of ±1.5 mV and monitors external temperatures on three channels. Its adaptability is enhanced by comprehensive I/O options, including CANbus, Bluetooth, and USB interfaces. It also offers efficient smart string connection and disconnection with a control interface compatible with both Energy Management Systems (EMS) and inverters. Equipped with extended diagnostics, configurable outputs, and both high-voltage and isolation measurement support, the system is robust and reliable for demanding energy environments.
The Wattius wBMS-MX is a compact distributed Battery Management System developed for high-voltage batteries.
This system is composed by the BMU (Battery Monitoring Unit) and CMU12s (Cell Monitoring Units, each for up to 12 cells). Each BMU supports up to 24 CMU12s for a total of 288 cells in series.
Multiple BMUs can be connected in parallel without additional hardware. The system automatically handles smart string connection / disconnection and provides a single control interface with EMS / Inverter.
Each CMU12 can monitor up to 12 cells with total maximum voltage measurement error of ± 1,5 mV, and 3 external temperatures. The BMU provides multiple configurable I/O options, as well as CANbus, Bluetooth and USB interfaces.
