Axial Turbine

Axial turbines, like bulbs, and propeller turbines belong to the family known as Kaplan turbines. These are reaction turbines. The axial turbine is ideal for large discharges and low heads (from 2 to 30 meters). It is not very sensitive to flow changes. The blades and the wicket gates can be fixed or mobile.
