BSS - Model PDM-600 -Multi-Sensor Partial Discharge Monitoring System with Flexible Channel Configuration
The PDM-600 is a comprehensive all-in-one partial discharge (PD) monitoring system with up to six separate analog input channels for permanent parallel measurement on all channels. It integrates the analog signal conditioning for either UHF, electric or acoustic PD measurements, data processing and storage, a webserver with a rich visualization, and communication protocols like ModbusTCP and IEC 61850 as well as relays in a compact and easy-to-install package.
The PDM-600 can be used for PD monitoring of power transformers, GIS, power transmission cables, and other electric equipment. Three types of analog input cards for electromagnetic (UHF), electrical charge-based (IEC 60270) and acoustic PD measurement ensure maximum flexibility. Each of the six card slots of the PDM-600 can be outfitted with one of the three types of input card. The configuration needs to be defined with the PO. Due to the flexible design later upgrades and retrofits are possible.
Various PD sensors are available: UHF drain valve and window-type sensors for power transformers, bushing test-tap PD sensors, HFCTs, and other passive and active PD coupling devices. The PDM-600 is also compatible to third party sensors, e.g. already installed UHF couplers in GIS.
For temporary monitoring, a mobile version of PDM-600 in a PeliCaseTM 1450 enclosure is also available.
