GWP - Model ExxxR-xx -Bushing Mounted Current Sensor for Gas Insulated Switchgear
The ExxxR-xx current sensor is specifically designed for integration on the bushings of gas insulated switchgear utilized at the secondary energy distribution level. Featuring a compact form factor, it accommodates a variety of T-connectors, making it versatile for different installation scenarios. This sensor employs passive technology, eliminating the need for active components and external power supplies. Its splitable design allows easy retrofit installations on existing bushings and cables. Earthing options include direct connection at the sensor, via the cable shielding, or through the IED's S2 connector. The device provides correction factors to improve amplitude and phase accuracy, ensuring high-class sensor performance. Additionally, an ECO-variant is available which initially operates at accuracy class 1 but can be enhanced through specific correction factors. For robust applications, the sensor can be equipped with an IP67 protection rating, safeguarding against environmental ingress. This makes it a reliable choice for demanding electrical infrastructure environments.
The ExxxR-xx current sensor is dedicated to installations on the bushing of gas insulated switchgear on the secondary energy distribution level. With a slim design, the holding system can be adapted to different kinds of T-connectors. Earthing can be done at the current sensor, through the shielding of the cable, or through the S2 connection inside the IED (intelligent electronic device).
