NIRMAL - Model CGS -City Gate Station for Natural Gas Industry
Nirmal provides City Gate Stations (CGS), which are crucial components in the natural gas distribution network. These stations handle the pressure reduction from high pressure typical of cross-country pipelines, ranging from 50 – 90 Barg, down to urban distribution levels of 19 – 26 Barg. The CGS setup includes filtration, metering, pre-heating, pressure regulation, and flow control units, all mounted on an ANSI 600# skid. Downstream pipelines after the CGS typically conform to ANSI 300# or ANSI 150# standards. The stations are typically equipped with remote controls and wireless communication to manage pressure and flow parameters via SCADA systems, ensuring consistent supply to the most distant consumers. This advanced control system helps in maintaining the desired output pressure and flow rate, thereby enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the natural gas supply network.
‘Nirmal’ offers the City Gate Stations (CGS) for different process parameters. CGS is the skid installed on the main cross country line tap-off and feeds the Natural Gas to the City at desired regulated pressure. Typically, CGS is ANSI 600# skid consisting of Filtration, Metering, Pre-Heating, Pressure Regulation and Flow Control units.This is the first step down for the NG Cross Country Line Pressure from 50 – 90 Barg to 19 – 26 Barg to feed NG to cities.
The Pipeline downstream to CGS is ANSI 300# / ANSI 150# after this pressure let down. City Gate Stations are generally equipped with remote control of pressure and flow parameters with wireless communication. The SCADA controls flow and pressure parameters to facilitate the farthest consumer to receive the gas at desired pressure and flow rate.
