AGROMECH - Model M-829 - Drum Dryer for Biomass
From Biomass Processing Lines - Drum Dryers for Biomass
Functioning: dried material, carried with a conveyer combined with an extruding screw, gets through a loading connector to the dryer’s drum, where the process of drying takes place. Rotary movement of the drum makes the material to be dried spread inside and move to the outlet. Loss of the material’s moisture happens when the material directly contacts mixture of hot air and exhaust gases.

Details
Due to a screw-like construction of the drum and a stream of hot drying factor created by the main centrifugal fan of the dryer, dried material is pulled out of the drum and falls into a discharge chamber, where, after losing speed, it falls on the bottom.
Then, through the extruding screw, depending on its purpose, it is transported outside or to the hammer crusher, where it is cut into appropriate parts. After cleaning from littlest volatile elements, through the main cyclone and the dryer’s chimney, the drying factor with water vapour is discharged to the atmosphere.
