DunphyBoiler Sequencing Panel

SHARE

The use of a boiler sequencing system ensures that boilers are fired in a controlled manner providing cost savings by preventing individual boilers from over firing and cycling on and off unnecessarily. The sequencer determines the number of boilers required to meet the system demand by monitoring the steam pressure in the header or the steam flow, and keeps the remaining boilers in a warm standby state, allowing them to be brought up to pressure quickly in the event of an increase in demand. The sequencing panel also provides an overview of the boiler plant, displaying the system pressure as well as individual boiler pressures, firing rates and statuses.

Our unique, fully configurable sequencing software, combined with 17" industrial touch screen provides a flexible, off-the-shelf solution to the majority of boiler sequencing applications for both hot water and steam applications for up to 8 boilers. For more bespoke applications we are able to offer a tailor made solution that can incorporate the functionality of the existing sequencing panel whilst meeting any specific control requirements that may exist, thus creating a full energy management / SCADA system with a unique control methodology.

  • Simple, intuitive design
  • Password protected control of features such as lead boiler selection and setpoint control
  • Auto change setpoints based on the day/hour to provide efficient use of the steam/hot water
  • Auto rotation of lead boiler
  • Set a specific sequencing order for each lead boiler
  • Display and record metering information
  • Record detailed historical data to suit your own requirements
  • Retransmit all data to a remote system for monitoring / control purposes
  • Full document management suite capable of storing all manuals, service documents and operator test records for reference and further analysis

Built in remote control functionality is available to allow a user to view information remotely and control specific features, if required, such as lead boiler changeover and setpoint control. This allows the system to be easily incorporated into a SCADA system. Modbus TCP/IP is available as standard but any protocol can be catered for such as Profibus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP and much more. The innovative design aids SCADA integration by providing specific screens to display current values, shown alongside their corresponding Modbus address, thus speeding up the integration process.
