Energig - Mastervolt Battery Isolators
Mastervolt?s BI battery isolators are designed with conventional diode technology. The diode voltage drop (ca. 0.6 V) can be solved by adapting the output voltage of the attached charger or alternator. Mastervolt battery chargers and the Alpha Pro MB charge regulators are equipped as standard with automatic voltage drop compensation.
The Mastervolt BI battery isolators are compact and are fully solid state, wich is preventing wear. The weight varies from only 580 to 1300 grams.
Completely corrosion resistant material with aluminium heat sinks and the electronic components has been encased in synthetic materials.
Synthetic end plates features connection lugs and the solid bolt connections with solid nuts and locking rings ensure easy installation.
While battery isolators, like the BI isolators, are conventional diode splitters, the Battery Mate?s technology is an advanced electronic design and includes mosfets (transistors). Its components compensate for the voltage drop on the diode models and ensure that charging will always be at the right voltage level, even with several battery banks connected.
The Battery Mate is compatible with all types of alternators and battery chargers, in both existing and new systems. Now that the voltage loss between the alternator and the battery is almost non existing, the Battery Mate performs way better than a conventional battery isolator.
This ensures a fast and full charging of your batteries without having to make anymore adjustments to the alternator.
The Battery Mate is very suitable for charging several batteries It’s possibly with different brands of alternators and even if their voltage cannot be altered. It can charge two or even three batteries with a very high yield and without voltage loss.
Models 1602/1603 are great for alternators with a max. current at 160 amp, the Battery Mate 2503 is great for alternators with a maximum current of up to 250 amp.
Safety guaranteed: The Battery Mate LED display indicates whether the power input is active.

A secondary battery (for consumers and not engine) is becoming increasingly common. As a second consumer battery can prevent the engine battery from failure and being unable to start, this is a safe and reliable solution. The second battery, does however, also needs to be charged regularly. The Charge Mate series connects to both batteries (engine and consumer) during charging and keeps both of them isolated when discharging. The Charge Mate 1202 and 2502 are most practical for small systems, the Charge Mate Pro 40 provides more functionality by reducing the charge current to the second (consumer) battery to 40 A. The main battery is therefore charged with priority first. The return current is automatically stopped, which reduces power dips of the onboard power network. An emergency start function is possible by connecting an optional bypass switch.
- Electronic charge with very low voltage drop.
- Charge current secondary (consumer) battery limited to 40 A.
- High system security by prioritised charging of the main battery.
- Unidirectional; stops return current under all circumstances which limit power dips of the onboard power network.
- Suitable for all sorts of battery chargers and alternators.
- LED status indication.
- IP67 electronics in a corrosion immune casing with aluminium heat sink.
- Fast and easy installation.
The Battery Watch is a crusial element of any well-equipped battery system, offering you a electronic watchdog that secures a much longer lifespan for your battery/battery bank. The unit monitors the best possible condition of your batteries and can also be used as a battery isolation switch. LED lights provide a clear reading and the undervoltage can be set using DIP switches.
