Ethanol - Biofuel

Is an alcohol based fuel made by fermenting sugars derived from renewable agricultural crops. Is added to gasoline as an oxygenate to improve performance and reduce carbon emissions. Over 40% of all gasoline used in the U.S is blended with ethanol. Major automobile manufacturers are producing flex fuel vehicles which can run on E-85 (85% ethanol). Ethanol is the biofuel with the largest current production in the world.
