Saturated gas enters the glycol dehydration unit through the gas inlet of the filter separator to remove particulates that could contaminate the glycol system. The saturated gas flows from the filter separator to the inlet scrubber of the glycol absorber tower where it ascends through the tower’s packing or bubble cap trays as glycol descends in a counter current flow to aid in the absorption process. Dry gas exits the top of the tower and passes through the glycol/gas heat exchanger to the gas outlet. The rich glycol is passed through a regeneration cycle, where it is conditioned back to a lean state for recirculation.

Bold - Model B-Dry -Glycol Dehydration Units for Natural Gas Processing
B-Dry Glycol Dehydration Units are essential in the process of removing water vapor from natural gas, which is critical for minimizing hydrates, reducing pipeline corrosion, and maintaining the integrity of downstream or downhole equipment. These modular units are engineered for efficiency and are equipped with a comprehensive system including inlet filtration, an absorber, a regeneration system, redundant pumps, and a charcoal filter. The units also feature a BTEX system, a burner management system, and telemetry, all contained on a single skid. The process involves saturated gas entering through a gas inlet, where particulates are filtered out before the gas flows to the glycol absorber tower. In this tower, the gas rises through packing or bubble cap trays while glycol descends in a counter-current flow, aiding absorption. The dry gas is then directed through a heat exchanger to the gas outlet while the rich glycol is regenerated to a lean state, ready for recirculation. Most popular related searches

Glycol dehydration is the process of removing water vapor from natural gas to minimize hydrates, reduce pipeline corrosion, and ensure the integrity of downstream or downhole equipment. Bold’s Modular Glycol Dehydration Units are packaged with inlet filtration, absorber, and regeneration system complete with redundant pumps, charcoal filter, BTEX system, burner management system and telemetry, all encompassed on a single skid.
Capabilities
- Utilizes cloud-based platform to remotely monitor operations providing real time data, alarms, and reporting
- Dehydration units are NACE Compliant and built to ASME Code
- Modular design is built with all components on one skid thus allowing units to be set by a single lift
- Our design reduces safety exposure, time, installation, and freight costs by consistency in design and modularity of the skid
Environmental Impact
- Environmentally friendly, with the ability to combust any non-condensable BTEX vapors in the reboiler versus any VOCs venting straight to atmosphere
- Our single skidded modular design reduces freight emissions only utilizing one truck
- Our electric dehydration package option reduces NOX emissions versus a traditional dehydration unit by 99%
