HeatronHeat Exchanger Heating Elements

SHARE

Heatron's Heat Exchanger Heating Elements are engineered for efficient transfer of heated liquids, gases, and oils. The design incorporates a high-density cartridge heater within a metal jacket, allowing for high watt density and dielectric strength. This is enhanced by options such as a sheath made from 304 or 316L stainless steel or Incoloy, and a lead exit that can be customized to straight, right angle, or elbow configurations. The jacket can be constructed with stainless steel braid, cable, strain relief spring, or silicone. Additionally, these elements offer various mounting options including flange and UL listed plugs, with lead options crimped or swaged. Coatings like electropolish and passivation are available, and they meet UL 6061/IEC-60601 standards. The dimensional specifications vary with diameters up to 0.75 inches (20 mm) and lengths up to 72 inches (1830 mm), supporting a maximum of 23 amps and 480 volts. These features make them suitable for high-stress, high-reliability applications.

Construction Options

  • Ports located and configured to customer fittings in any location and can be flared to ensure secure, clamped connections.
  • Thermal wells with fittings for mounting thermocouples, thermistors, RTDs or other temperature controlling devices.
  • Mounting pads for disc thermostats or other thermostats welded to the heat exchanger.
  • Ground wire can be internally connected in a heater or a ground lug welded to the heat exchanger.
  • Mounting brackets designed to customer specifications, including over-the-side design for non-pressurized systems.

Quickly and safely transfers heated liquids, gases and oils. Heatron’s heat exchanger consists of a high-density cartridge heater encased in a metal jacket with ports for transfer of medium to be heated. The compact design provides higher watt density and dielectric strength compared with tubular versions.
