Model CARSIC310 - High-performance Ceramic Silicon Carbide
With the high-performance ceramic silicon carbide CARSIC310, OXIDKERAMIK J. Cardenas GmbH produces a directly sintered silicon carbide (SSiC) with numerous possible uses. These result mainly from the fact that CARSIC310 is a particularly light and, on the other hand, very hard and temperature-resistant material.
The technical properties of the high-performance ceramic silicon carbide CARSIC310 are convincing in every respect. The material has a chemical resistance in a pH range of 0-14.
This means that components made of this material are not only corrosion-resistant to hydrochloric acid or nitric acid, for example, but also to hydrofluoric acid. The material is therefore universally corrosion-resistant and is also characterized by high wear resistance, which is retained even at high application temperatures of up to 1500 ° C.
Its hardness is 2400 HV 0.5. In addition, CARSIC310 has very good emergency and dry running properties, i.e. excellent tribological behavior. Due to its very high thermal conductivity of 100 W / m K, CARSIC310 can quickly dissipate process heat, for example in the pump.
In addition to the excellent chemical and physical properties, our material CARSIC310 also impresses with its high surface quality. Its open porosity is 0%, which is why it is also suitable for applications that require a gas-tight material.
For components made of this material, due to its special technical properties - depending on the construction - dimensions up to Ø 200 mm are possible - with the highest compressive strength (2400 MPa). Circumferential speeds of up to v = 50m / s are no problem for products made from CARSIC310.
