ZMSHigh Voltage - 35KV-220KV Underground XLPE Insulated Power Cable

SHARE

Like other power cables, High voltage XLPE cables typically consist of one or three conductors, insulation, and a sheath structure. High Voltage Underground Wire Cables differ from low voltage cables in that they also have an inner layer within the insulation sheath to control the electric field around the conductors. For circuits running at relatively high voltages between conductors, the conductor sheaths can surround each insulated conductor. In this way, the electrical stresses on the cable insulation can be balanced and unnecessary losses in the cable can be reduced.
