Forward-Hydro - Horizontal Turgo Turbine

Turgo turbines are a development of the Pelton turbine. They can handle a higher flow rate than a physically similar-sized Pelton turbine and the rotor is slightly cheaper to manufacture. The high specific speed allows using the Turgo principle instead of multi-jet Pelton turbines or instead of Francis turbines at lower partial load efficiencies.
