The mobile grate, also known as a stepped grate or inclined grate, represents the most versatile system in terms of flexibility and capability to handle various types of fuel. This innovative system involves delivering fuel onto a series of moving refractory panels sequentially along the grate, allowing the fuel to travel slowly and mix along the path towards the end of the combustion chamber. During this process, the fuel dries and burns, with primary air supplied from within the grate itself. The patented technology ensures uniform air distribution along the entire grate, while the constant movement pushes residues towards the next step, keeping the grate surface clean and preventing buildup. This system further promotes fuel enrichment with air, enhancing combustion efficiency.
The combustion sequence offered by the mobile grate allows for burning a wide range of fuels with varying moisture levels. By adjusting the grate speed, fuel feed, and air intake, optimal performance can be achieved even with materials with high moisture content, up to 30-35%. Moreover, the use of refractory material reflects heat, facilitating the drying and ignition of the fuel, thus enabling efficient combustion even of moist materials. Once the fuel is consumed, residual ashes are mechanically collected and removed through a dedicated screw conveyor in the ash container.
