J. Schneider Anlassdrossel - Limiting Starting Choke Current

Starting chokes are inductive alternating current resistors that limit starting current of AC motors and 3-phase motors. They are actuated at start-up in the stator feed lines of the motor, they limit the start-up current to approximately 3x the value of the rated motor current and are bridged by a contactor after the motor starts up. They are configured for temporary duty and are provided with taps if necessary for multi-stage starting.
