Product Details
The turbine operates according to the concept of variable speed and power control by blade pitch. It employs a direct drive concept without using a main gearbox. The speed variability is realized with a synchronous generator with a full converter. The grid frequency for the machine development is assumed to be 50 Hz.
Variable speed synchronous generator, full converter system, and hydraulic pitch control guarantees maximum energy yield and high efficiency.
Thanks to incorporation of a pioneering approach and innovative solutions, the ATB 60.28 DD turbine can be integrated optimally into the power grid.
The sophisticated power converter concept allows powerful and rapid active and reactive power control, which in turn creates favorable conditions to maintain network stability.
Furthermore, the system has excellent properties when experiencing voltage dips during grid faults (fault ride-through). With the powerful ATB 60.28 DD, the requirements of the SDL-wind are met.
The turbine operates with wind speed of 3 m/s (cut-in) to 19 m/s (cut-out), exposed to a wide range of external temperature between -10°C and + 45°C (operation) and between -20°C and + 50°C (survival).
All components of the ATB 60.28 DD system have been designed in line with the industry standards to guarantee highest quality and reliability.
